Net to air 20 live hours of coverage a day
MSNBC plans to air 20 live hours of coverage a day during the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
Cabler will broadcast live from Tampa, Fla., and Charlotte, N.C., featuring special editions of its staple programming. “Way Too Early With Willie Geist” and “Morning Joe” will kick off daily coverage at 5:30 a.m. from convention grounds, and special primetime coverage will be hosted by Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews.
MSNBC will also air specials on the candidates. “Mitt Romney: The Making of a Candidate,” hosted by Chuck Todd, will bow during the RNC on Aug. 24. “Barack Obama: Making History,” hosted by Chris Matthews, will air during the DNC on Sept. 3.
Net plans to host interactive fan experiences at both conventions.
