'Sit Down' will follow original episodes of VH1 skein
VH1 is launching a halfhour discussion show to follow highly rated “Mob Wives,” beginning Jan. 29.
“Mob Wives: The Sit Down” will be hosted by Carrie Keagan (“Big Morning Buzz Live”) and feature regulars from “Mob Wives” plus a celebrity guest to chat about the just-seen episode of the flagship series, which has averaged a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall in its second season.
In its current 8 p.m. Sundays timeslot, “Mob Wives” has been the No. 1 non-sports cable program in 18-49. Viewership has improved 67% from its freshman season.
With a seven-episode committment, “Sit Down” will be the second spinoff from “Wives,” following “Mob Wives: Chicago,” which will bow this spring.
