McKay moves from McCoy to Tudor

'Hatfields & McCoys' thesp books 'The White Queen'

After playing Bill Paxton’s eldest son in the History Channel’s record-breaking miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys,” Brit thesp Tom McKay joined the cast of “The White Queen,” a 10-episode drama series skedded to debut on Starz and the U.K.’s BBC One in 2013.

“The White Queen,” which stars Max Irons, James Frain and Janet McTeer, follows a group of women and their power struggle during the War of the Roses in 1464. Series is based on the historical novels by Philippa Gregory.

McKay will play Jasper Tudor, who schemes with Margaret Beaufort (Amanda Hale) to make her son Henry the future king.

Thesp studied at LAMDA and has appeared in notable West End productions such as “Frost/Nixon” and “Macbeth,” as well as Nicholas Hytner’s “Henry V.” He’s repped by Inspire Entertainment and Independent Talent in the U.K.
