“Entertainment Tonight” has tapped CNN vet Rob Marciano as co-anchor of the CBS TV Distribution newsmag. He joins fellow co-anchor Nancy O’Dell in January.
At CNN News Group, Marciano has been a news and weather anchor since 2003. He also subbed in for other anchors and served as a field correspondent. The journo earned a Peabody Award for his field reports during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill.
“We are so pleased to welcome Rob to the ET family,” said Linda Bell Blue, “ET” exec producer. DJ Petroro also executive produces the program.
“Rob brings with him a passion for news, a wealth of knowledge about the entertainment industry and an enormous amount of charisma that viewers have been responding to for years,” she said. “We know he will be an outstanding fit for our show, our audience and the immensely talented Nancy O’Dell.”
