Mann attached to Starz’s ‘Magic City’

Writer-producer comes aboard for second season

Ted Mann has joined Starz’s new original drama “Magic City.”

Coming on board for the second season of the series about the mob’s infiltration of 1950s Miami, Mann will serve as a co-exec producer. He previously worked with Starz as a producer on “Crash.”

“Magic City” was recently given a second-season renewal before it has even debuted. Premiere is set for April 6.

Mann has been a longtime collaborator with David Milch, and those past projects include “Deadwood,” “NYPD Blue” and “John From Cincinnati.” As a writer, he penned the first episode of the upcoming History miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys.”

Mann is repped by APA and attorney Tom Hoberman.
