Luke Kirby cast in Sundance’s ‘Rectify’

Thesp to play lawyer in cabler's first original scripted skein

Luke Kirby has been cast as a series regular in Sundance Channel’s original scripted series “Rectify.”

Kirby will play legal eagle Jon Stern, who works to get Daniel Holden, played by Aden Young, released from a Georgia prison. Kirby joins a cast on the hourlong drama that includes Abigail Spencer, Adelaide Clemens, J. Smith Cameron and Clayne Crawford. Series was created and penned by Ray McKinnon and began shooting in Atlanta this week.

Canadian thesp Kirby has a background in theater and has appeared in the Eye web miniseries “Haven” and feature pic “Lost and Delirious.” He will also appear opposite Michelle Williams in “Take This Waltz,” slated for a domestic release this summer.

Kirby is repped by Gene Parseghian for Parseghian Planco and Randi Goldstein at Gersh Agency.
