Leopard Films taps Deen

Producer named associate VP of development

Leopard Films USA has tapped producer Lauren Deen as associate VP of development. She will report to company topper Nick Rigg.

Deen joins the Gotham-based shingle with a background in food and lifestyle programming. She has produced unscripted fare for nets including Lifetime, Cooking Channel and Food Network, and her work on skeins “Grill It With Bobby Flay” and “Martha Stewart Living” has earned her numerous Emmys. Deen, a trained chef, has also penned books including the New York Times bestseller “Cook Yourself Thin.”

As associate VP of development, Deen will oversee production in Leopard’s newly-established food division and serve as exec producer on all programming. She is currently producing a new skein for Cooking Channel and a pilot for Food Network.

“Working with such icons as Martha Stewart and Bobby Flay, Lauren is one of the reasons the food TV genre has exploded in recent years,” Rigg said.
