Robinson Peete skein to air in more than 70 markets
Los Angeles pubcaster KCET has made its first national syndication deal since cutting ties to PBS, inking a pact with American Public Television to distribute “Your Turn to Care” with Holly Robinson Peete.“Your Turn” explores how baby boomers care for ailing or aging family and friends, with contributions from such writers and actors as Gail Sheehy, Sandra Tsing Loh, Hector Elizondo, Monica Potter and Patricia Richardson. More than 70 public television stations have placed the initial four episodes ordered by APT on their schedules, with premieres as early as July 1. “We are pleased to be able to share this exceptional series with stations everywhere, as caregiving has become an increasingly important part of a national dialogue,” KCET chief content officer Bret Marcus said. “These are remarkably complicated issues affecting millions of people every day. We are confident the series will help viewers carve out their own approach to handling some of these very difficult and emotional caregiving challenges and not feel alone in the process.” Margaret Hussey exec produces.
