Sitdown with reality family draws 1.1 million to cabler
Oprah Winfrey’s chat with the reality-friendly Kardashian family drew 1.1 million to OWN Sunday night.
As part of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the hourlong interview also garnered 485,000 viewers in the 25-54 women’s demo, which is OWN’s core aud and was best across all cablers in the timeslot. The second-part of the interview will air Sunday.
Following the Kardashians sitdown, Winfrey chatted with rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, which drew 718,000 viewers.
After a rough first year, cabler is slowly gaining traction across its programming slate. Winfrey’s on-screen presence may be making a difference in drawing viewers to the Discovery-owned net who were fans of her iconic daytime talkshow.
