Julie Anne Robinson inks with ABC Studios

Deal keeps 'How to Live with Your Parents' helmer in Alphabet fold

Helmer Julie Anne Robinson has inked a development pact with ABC Studios.

One-year deal gives Robinson a blind pilot directing commitment from ABC Studios and the Alphabet net.

Robinson most recently directed the pilot for “How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life,” the 20th Century Fox TV comedy that landed a series order from ABC. She also directed the pilot for ABC’s “The Middle.”

Other credits include “Weeds,” “Suburgatory” and “Big Love,” as well as features “One for the Money” and “The Last Song.”

Helmer comes from a legit background, having worked with the Royal Shakespeare Co. and Britain’s National Theater.

She’s repped by UTA, 3 Arts and Independent Talent Group in the U.K.
