Julia Stiles has been cast in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s latest pic “The Makeover.”
“Makeover” puts a modern twist on George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion,” including changing the genders of the main characters. Stiles will play Hannah Higgins, a professor who completes an unsuccessful bid for Congress. For the next election, she and her biz partner Colleen Pickering recruit sincere yet unpolished Elliott Doolittle, played by David Walton, to enter the race.
Brent Shields will exec produce “Makeover,” and John Gray will helm.
In 2013, Stiles will appear in features “Silver Linings Playbook,” “It’s A Disaster” and “Closed.”
Stiles is repped by ICM Partners and Untitled Entertainment.
“The Makeover” will bow on ABC in 2013. Hallmark Hall of Fame series returned to ABC in 2011 after 16 years at CBS.
