James Patterson’s ‘Private’ prepped for TV

Sonar Entertainment to adapt fiction franchise

The best-selling James Patterson book series “Private” is being adapted as a TV series by Sonar Entertainment.

Sonar, which was previously known as RHI Entertainment, is developing 13 one-hour episodes. “Black Swan” screenwriter John McLaughlin is penning the first two hours. “Private” follows the exploits of former CIA agent Jack Morgan and his investigative firm.

“My ultimate goal is to tell stories in television that fans love and want to come back to again and again. Television is the ideal medium to deliver that type of entertainment,” said Patterson.
