ITV Studios, Netflix ink Scandi deal

Pact includes 'Lewis,' 'Vera,' 'Poirot'


ITV Studios and Netflix have agreed a multi-year deal for a package of British drama acquired by the VOD operator’s services in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Titles include psychological thriller “Appropriate Adult,” based on the story of the relationship between serial killer Fred West, played by Dominic West, and his confidante, Janet Leach, played by Emily Watson.

Among other fare covered by the deal are cop shows “Lewis,” “Vera,” Agatha Christie’s “Poirot” and La Plante Prods.’ “Above Suspicion.”

Deal was brokered by David Wilcox, senior sales exec for the U.K., France and Scandinavia, at ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
