USA Network remains on the fast track for its casting of political miniseries “Political Animals.”
Latest to be added to the call sheet is Brittany Ishibashi, who has busy of late playing guest spots in episodic television. Recent credits include “The Mentalist,” “Parenthood” and “Fairly Legal.”
“Political Animals” is the six-episode mini from Warner Horizon Television and creator Greg Berlanti about a politically powerful female character. She is a former first lady who has become secretary of state and, while dealing with her own work issues, is struggling to keep her family together after leaving the White House.
Recently cast was Jimmy Wolk (“Lone Star”), who will play a chief of staff, and Ishibashi will play his fiance.
Berlanti wrote and will direct the first episode. He exec produces “Political Animals” with Laurence Mark.
