Cuba Gooding Jr. has lined up what would be his first TV series regular role, in Fox drama pilot “Guilty.”
Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, McG and Peter Johnson are exec producing the pilot, written by Guggenheim and directed by McG, that will feature Gooding as a wrongly disbarred defense attorney who solve crimes while seeking revenge on those who set up his fall.
Gooding, the 1996 supporting actor Oscar-winner for “Jerry Maguire,” has appeared mainly in features, except for early career efforts like a recurring part on “MacGyver” two decades ago. Most recently, he was seen on the big screen in January release “Red Tails.”
“Guilty” comes from Berlanti Productions, LegalScribe Entertainment and Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. TV.
