Broadcasts on several Fox Sports regional channels nationwide during primetime Monday aired without commercials because of technical problems.
A Fox Sports spokesman said that there were ”significant technical problems at our master control facility in Houston.” The glitches inhibited Fox Sports from running such items as commercials and ticker scores. There was no immediate timetable on when the problems would be resolved.
In Los Angeles, telecasts of baseball games on Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket involving the Dodgers and Angels either inserted taped interview and highlights pieces, or simply stayed with the regular announcers through inning breaks. The Angels’ broadcasters, for example, made do with reading Fox Sports promos.
