It's first output deal for Giamatti-Carey shingle

Paul Giamatti and Dan Carey’s shingle Touchy Feely Films has pacted with FX Prods. in a first-look cable deal.

Two-year pact calls for Touchy Feely to develop skeins exclusively for cable and is the first output deal for the shingle. Giamatti said he “eagerly anticipates putting together some great show with FX Productions” while Carey noted the “string of great shows” that FX has launched on the small screen. “We’re thrilled to have a chance to add to that body of work,” Carey said.

Touchy Feely Films feature credits include “Cold Souls,” “Pretty Bird” and “Padre Nuestro.” Shingle is producing a film starring Giamatti, Paul Rudd and Sally Hawkins, and is developing adaptations of books including Richard Rhodes’ Pulitzer Prize-winning “The Making of the Atomic Bomb” for an HBO mini.
