FX acquires ‘Mike & Molly’ repeats

Cabler snags its latest CBS skein

FX has acquired off-net rights to CBS sitcom “Mike & Molly” from Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution and will begin airing repeats of the show in September 2014.

The No. 1 new series in total viewers in 2010-11, “Mike” will join its Monday CBS mates “How I Met Your Mother” and “Two and a Half Men” on the FX schedule of syndicated series, as well as former “Men” star Charlie Sheen, who debuted to strong numbers last week in new laffer “Anger Management.”

In the 2011-12 season, “Mike” averaged a 3.8 rating and 9 share in the 18-49 demo and 11.6 million viewers overall, second in its timeslot in the demo to NBC’s “The Voice.”

Last month, CBS-owned stations including WLNY and KCAL acquired over-the-air off-net rights to “Mike and Molly” beginning in 2014.
