FremantleMedia pacts with Purveyors prod’n shingle

'Real Housewives' producers ink overall deal

FremantleMedia North America and production shingle Purveyors of Pop (“Real Housewives of Atlanta”) have agreed to an overall deal to develop and produce unscripted programming.

POP toppers Matt Anderson and Nate Green also exec produce Bravo’s “Real Housewives” series set in New Jersey and New York, as well as spinoff “Bethenny Ever After,” which ranked as Bravo’s highest-rated series debut ever.

Also on Anderson’s resume are MTV’s “The Week in Rock” and “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.” Green has served as a producer on “Project Runway.”

“As Fremantle expands in the cable landscape, we want to partner with the best program makers in the business,” said Julie Uribe, FremantleMedia North America senior veep of nonscripted development. “Matt and Nate are at the top of their game, and so it’s the perfect time to provide them the resources to create their own distinctive and unique shows.”

In related news, Cooper Green has joined POP as its development VP. He was previously director of development at World of Wonder. His TV credits include Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing: New York,” VH1’s “Fantasia For Real” and Sundance’s “Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys.”

Anderson praised Cooper Green for what he described as his “laser-like radar to find and develop the best characters, worlds and trends.”
