Fox is going full bore with its soccer coverage on May 13, airing six different games across its cable networks and three online.
On the final day of the U.K.’s prestigious and highly competitive Premier League, matches will be played simultaneously live at 10 a.m. ET on FX, Speed, Fox Sports Net, Fox Soccer, Fuel and Fox Soccer Plus. Digitally, a trio of games will be available on Foxsoccer.com and mobile app Soccer 2Go. Fox Deportes will air one of the games in Spanish.
The Fox Sports Media Group airs more than 300 Premier League games per season. On broadcast net Fox, soccer occasionally will air on an NFL Sunday in hopes of drawing U.S. football fans to the No. 1 sport around the globe.
Dubbed “Survival Sunday,” the last day of the Premier League is intense as many clubs jockey for both European tournament play and the chance to remain the league in future years.
Currently there are three teams that would not qualify to keep their Premier League status: Bolton, Blackburn and Wolverhampton. At the top of the standings, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are set to receive entry into the intense Champions League tournament.
