'I Suck at Girls' based on Justin Halpern's coming-of-age book

Fox has given a pilot order to a Warner Bros. TV laffer shepherded by Bill Lawrence from “Bleep My Dad Says” creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

Single-camera half-hour dubbed “I Suck at Girls” is a coming of age story set in the recent past revolving around a father and son relationship. It’s based on the recent book by Halpern of the same name.

Lawrence is exec producing with his Doozer Prods. partner Jeff Ingold and Halpern and Schumacker. Halpern and Schumacker are also working on Lawrence’s “Cougar Town” as the erstwhile ABC comedy prepares for its move to TBS next year.

Lawrence, Halpern and Schumacker are repped by ICM Partners.
