Turnout of 11.5 mil for prez faceoff tops CNN and MSNBC combined

Another presidential debate, another record for Fox News Channel.

Monday’s third and final faceoff between President Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney brought in 11.5 million viewers for Fox News, more than CNN (5.8 mil) and MSNBC (4.1 mil) combined.

The turnout bested Fox News’ previous high of 11.1 million, set by the 2008 vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin and tied last week by the second Obama-Romney debate.

Nielsen will issue a final tally of total debate viewership across multiple networks later today.
