Fox nabs ‘Athena’ from 20th TV, Chernin Ent.

Project follows young woman who discovers she's a goddess

“Burn Notice” scribe Lisa Joy has set up a coming-of-age drama project, “Athena,” at Fox.

Project from 20th Century Fox TV and Chernin Entertainment is based on Joy’s graphic novel “Headache.” It follows a twentysomething woman who discovers she is Greek goddess Athena. Joy will write the script and exec produce should it get picked up to pilot.

Joy recently served as a co-producer on USA’s “Burn Notice,” produced by 20th TV’s sibling Fox Television Studios unit. She also worked as a scribe on ABC’s “Pushing Daisies.”

Joy is repped by UTA and attorney Michael Schenkman at Bloom Hergott.
