Fox hires Harrison as sked head

Former CBS exec will succeed Preston Beckman

Fox Broadcasting Co. has hired Dan Harrison as executive VP of scheduling, the network announced Thursday.

Harrison will lead strategic program planning for the network, where he will succeed Preston Beckman. Beckman will transition to a post as senior strategist for Fox Networks Group in June.

“Dan is not only a proven strategic scheduling executive, but he also brings invaluable expertise in emerging networks to Fox,” said Fox entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly, to whom Harrison will report.

Harrison comes over from CBS Corp., where he was senior VP of strategic development. He’s worked previously at NBCUniversal and 20th Century Fox.
