Fox developing ‘Linda Green’

Drama is based on BBC series from Paul Abbott

Fox Broadcasting is developing “Linda Green,” an hourlong project based on a BBC series of the same name.

From Sony Television, “Green” revolves around thirtysomething Linda Green and her four best friends as they navigate their love lives in Boston.

“Family Guy” vet Alex Borstein will pen the pilot script while BBC Worldwide Prods. exec produces the project with Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner.

“Shameless” exec producer and Paul Abbott created the BBC’s “Linda Green” in 2001 with Nicola Shindler through Red Prods.

Skein ran for two seasons before being canceled because of low ratings. Abbott will also receive an exec producer credit on the Fox version of “Linda Green.”
