Feig to helm HBO’s ‘Viagra Diaries’

'Bridesmaids' helmer boards Goldie Hawn comedy

“Bridesmaids” helmer Paul Feig is onboard to direct and exec produce the pilot for HBO’s Goldie Hawn starrer “The Viagra Diaries.”

Darren Star has penned the script revolving around a woman who struggles with being single for the first time in 35 years after her husband leaves her. Project is based on the book of the same name by Barbara Rose Brooker.

Star, Hawn and Feig exec produce with Aaron Kaplan, David Knoller, Alan Nevins, Brian Medavoy, Alan Riche, Peter Riche and Wendy Riche.

Feig has been one of the smallscreen’s most sought-after comedy helmers in recent years, and he’s busy on the feature front after the success of “Bridesmaids.” He recently committed to direct the Universal comedy “The Better Woman” (Daily Variety, Jan. 10).
