Entertainment One has cut a deal with Steven Bochco to produce a futuristic drama series, “Evolution,” that will be shopped to worldwide buyers at next month’s MipTV market.
Series is set 3 million years in the future and revolves around a boy’s discovery of a box that contains the store of human knowledge, leading him to become a leader.
Bochco and Bryan Law will co-write the series, which eOne described as a “tale of perpetual tension and suspense.”
Bochco cited eOne’s track record of assembling global financing for shows and said that its “domestic and international expertise makes the company an ideal partner for a bold series like ours. They think outside the box.”
Pact was unveiled early Tuesday by eOne TV topper John Morayniss. Bochco, Morayniss and eOne’s Michael Rosenberg will exec produce, and Law will serve as supervising producer; eOne will handle worldwide rights for the show in all media.
