Terrence Jenkins will join Giuliana Rancic as a permanent anchor of “E! News.” Jenkins’ arrival solidifies the program’s anchor team after former mainstay Ryan Seacrest stopped regularly hosting this year.
Jenkins has co-hosted BET’s “106 & Park” and appeared in pics including “Think Like a Man,” “Burlesque” and “Sparkle.” “I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that ‘E! News’ covers so well,” said Jenkins. “I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building towards this.”
E! News prexy Cyndi McClellan stated that “coupled with lead anchor Giuliana Rancic’s proven experience, [Jenkins’ arrival] should help cement ‘E! News” stature as the leading source for news across pop culture.” Rancic has been anchoring the program since 2005.
Jason Kennedy and Catt Sadler were officially tapped as co-anchors of “E! News Weekend,” as Variety first reported last week.
