China Anne McClain starrer earns third season

Disney Channel has ordered a third season of “A.N.T. Farm,” the most popular show on TV in its timeslot among kids 6-11 and 9-14.

“A.N.T. Farm” stars China Anne McClain and also features Sierra McCormick, Jake Short and Stefanie Scott. Carlon Jeffrey, who plays the brother of McClain’s character, will not be a part of the regular cast in season three, when the show moves to a boarding school setting.

Worldwide, the skein is seen in 162 countries and in 31 languages. Its soundtrack album also spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard kids chart.

” ‘A.N.T. Farm” is a series that was initially inspired by our audience’s love for stories about uniquely talented kids,” said Disney Channels Worldwide senior original programming veep Adam Bonnett. “Our new direction for season three allows us more opportunities to showcase the A.N.T.s, their unique talents and the dedication it takes to follow your dreams.”

Dan Signer (“The Suite Life on Deck”) created “A.N.T. Farm” and exec produces with Stephen Engel.
