Discovery lifts veil on ‘Breaking Magic’

Nine-part series on science of illusions to bow Nov. 11

Discovery Channel and Discovery Channel Intl. will lift the veil in November on “Breaking Magic,” a nine-part series on the science of magic.

Unscripted skein, which reveals the science behind magic tricks, premieres Nov. 11 at 10 p.m. on Discovery. Half-hour episodes feature magicians from around the world including Wayne Houchin, Ben Hanlin, James Galea and Billy Kidd as they explore the physics, chemistry and biology that make illusions possible.

Program is produced for Discovery by Objective Prods. Andrew Newman and Paul Gilheany are exec producing for Objective and Brian Dean with Paige McKenzie for Discovery Channel U.S. For Discovery Intl., Sarah Davies is exec producing with Rob Holloway and Marion Said.
