CW sets debut dates for reality pair

'Catalina' begins May 29 while 'Pointe' launches May 31

CW has set premiere dates for a pair of summer series, “The Catalina” and “Breaking Pointe.”

“The Catalina,” which follows the employees and guests at a Miami hotel, will launch at 8 p.m. May 29 and air Mondays. “Breaking Pointe,” a behind-the-scenes look at a competitive ballet company, will air at 8 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 31. Throughout their runs, both shows will be in repeat mode on Mondays as a way to chalk up additional viewers.

Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey are exec producers of “The Catalina.” “Breaking Pointe” is produced by BBC Prods. and is exec produced by Kate Shepherd, Izzie Pick Ashcroft and Jane Tranter.

Network has another pair of reality shows on tap, but no debut dates yet: “The Star Next Door” and “Oh Sit.” Also, scripted series “The L.A. Complex” — a six-episode Canadian import — will start April 24.
