CW acquires Canadian skein

'L.A. Complex' to air Stateside in spring

The CW has acquired rights to ”The L.A. Complex,” Hollywood-set series produced by Canada’s Bell Media.

”Complex,” telling the story of six aspiring stars from different hometowns, premieres the first of six episodes Tuesday in Canada on CTV and MuchMusic and will air on the CW this spring.

Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn exec produce ”Complex” for Epitome Pictures. Writer and exec producer Martin Gero is also directing.

Cassie Steele, an alum of ”Degrassi: The Next Generation” (also from Epitome), stars in the series, with Jewel Staite (”Firefly”) also part of the ensemble.
