Current TV goes for laffs

'Fugelsang' show offers comedic take on current events

This Friday, Current TV will begin offering a comedic take on events in news, pop culture and politics with “John Fugelsang: So That Happened.”

Weekly hourlong program aims to provide laughs and an irreverent tone “while discussing some very serious and substantive topics,” according to Fugelsang, who has also been featured on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News and NPR.

Comedian Frank Conniff is head writer on the program and will contribute to the show. “So That Happened” will serve as a precursor to Fugelsang’s nightly series, which is slated to bow later this year.

“John Fugelsang: So That Happened” will air Friday nights at 6 and again at 9.
