Chris Culvenor has arrived from Oz and joined Shine America as senior VP of development.
Focusing on the reality side at Shine Australia and now here in the States, Culvenor will oversee day-to-day development for the L.A.-based shingle. He’ll report to president Eden Gaha, who added: “Having worked closely with Chris over the last year, it’s great to now have one of Shine’s best here in the U.S.”
Also arriving at Shine is Christie McConnell, who was named VP of development.
Since 2010, Culvenor has overseen the development and sale of Shine Australia’s television programs across all genres. Among the Oz formats that Culvenor helped launch include “MasterChef,” “The Biggest Loser” and “Minute to Win It.”
McConnell, who will relocate from Gotham to L.A., joins Shine America from Stephen David Entertainment, where she served as VP of development since 2010. She has worked with cablers such as Bravo, Comedy Central and Food Network.
