'Office' thesp to play famed studio exec in Lifetime telepic

“The Office” thesp Creed Bratton has been cast as studio chief Darryl F. Zanuck in Lifetime’s original movie “Liz & Dick.”

Telepic stars Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler (“True Blood”) as Richard Burton. Story follows their love affair, which spanned three decades and was one of the most talked-about celebrity relationships of its day. Zanuck ran 20th Century Fox at the time it released the famous 1963 flop “Cleopatra,” where Taylor and Burton’s romance blossomed.

Larry A. Thompson Prods. is producing the film, which was written by Christopher Monger (“Temple Grandin”). A&E Networks is handling international distribution.

Bratton previously worked with Lohan on the ABC Family movie “Labor Pains.” Thesp recently starred in Azazel Jacobs’ Sundance hit “Terri.” He’s managed by Dan Spilo at Industry Entertainment.
