Comedy Central UK embraces ‘Anger’

Sheen series to air on British cabler

FX’s “Anger Management” is headed across the Pond via Comedy Central UK, which acquired exclusive broadcast rights to the skein for Blighty.

Lionsgate’s international TV division has already sold Charlie Sheen’s latest sitcom venture to several foreign territories, including Canada, Latin America, Germany and Australia. Comedy Central UK director of programming Chris Collie called the skein “the funniest show on display” at this year’s L.A. Screenings. Series bowed June 28 in the U.S., drawing 5.5 million viewers while becoming the most-watched cable comedy series premiere ever in the adult 18-49 demo.
