Comedy Central renews ‘Tosh.0’

Cabler's most popular series receives order for fifth season

Comedy Central’s most-watched series, “Tosh.0,” has received a fifth-season renewal.

Net has ordered 30 additional episodes of the skein, which returns for its fall season premiere Tuesday.

Hosted by Daniel Tosh, who offers commentary on a slew of unusual web clips and videos, show is averaging 3.7 million in total viewers over the past two seasons and is No. 1 in men 18-34 on Tuesday nights.

Said Kent Alterman, the cabler’s head of original programming and production: “Despite the fact that ‘Tosh.0’ has more viewers than any other show on our network, and that Daniel has totally catalyzed his fans online, we still convinced ourselves to pick up the show for another season.”

Show is exec produced by Tosh, Charlie Siskel and Christie Smith.
