Comedy Central India, in business for a year now, has acquired exclusive rights to “Anger Management” in a pact with Lionsgate Intl. Television, the two companies said Thursday.
The series debuted to an impressive 5.74 million viewers in the U.S. and subsequently received an unusual 90-episode commitment. Lionsgate Intl. Television has already sold the series in more than a dozen territories, including Canada, Latin America, the U.K., Scandinavia, Australia/New Zealand, Germany, Benelux, Poland, Spain and South Africa. Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury distributes the show in the U.S., where it’s been sold into syndication with the Fox station group. Skein, starring Charlie Sheen, is based on the 2003 film.Comedy Central India nabs ‘Anger Management’
