Adult Swim has picked up live-action laffers “Childrens Hospital” and “NTSF:SD:SUV” for additional seasons that are slated to bow in 2013.
“Childrens Hospital” has been handed a fifth season. Comedy, from creator Rob Corddry, satirizes med dramas such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “House,” centering around the relationship struggles of a group of docs. “Childrens Hospital” is exec produced and penned by Jonathan Stern and David Wain. Show is produced by Abominable Pictures, the Corddry Co. and Warner Bros. TV Group’s Studio 2.0. Mock procedural skein “NTSF:SD:SUV” was renewed for a third season. Paul Scheer created the comedy that offers a take on network dramas’ “ripped from the headlines” plots.
