Distrubution for Time Warner Cable’s dual channels featuring the Los Angeles Lakers has been extended in deals with Charter and Verizon FiOS.

Though the companies serve well below a million homes in the region, the pacts represent a breakthrough for Time Warner SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes, which have been struggling to find broad distribution in Los Angeles with the Lakers’ regular-season debut on the channels coming Wednesday.

DirecTV, Dish and Cox still haven’t signed deals with Time Warner Cable for the English- and Spanish-language channels, which also feature Los Angeles Galaxy soccer, Los Angeles Sparks women’s basketball and selected high school and college games.
