CBS un-cancels ‘Unforgettable’

Axed series to return with 13 episodes in summer 2013

CBS has revived Poppy Montgomery starrer “Unforgettable,” picking up the show that was canceled in May for a 13-episode summer 2013 run.

Unforgettable,” which premiered in September, had fallen victim to the strength of CBS’ primetime schedule, which left few openings for series that weren’t locks for renewal. Upon its May cancelation, Sony Pictures TV (which co-produced with CBS Television Studios) shopped the series before ending finding its new summertime home with the Eye.

CBS axed “Unforgettable” even though it was the No. 22 program in primetime for overall viewers in 2011-12, averaging 12.2 million — more, for example, than any scripted program on NBC.

Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Ed Redlich exec produce “Unforgettable.”
