CBS pulls plug on ‘Partners’

Frosh laffer struggled in the Monday 8:30 p.m. slot

CBS is poised to pull the plug on frosh comedy “Partners.”

The Warner Bros. TV laffer got off to a slow start in the Monday 8:30 p.m. slot behind “How I Met Your Mother” and has yet to perk up. Show hit a season-low this past week with a 1.8 in the adults 18-49 demographic.

CBS is expected to fill the slot with comedy repeats in the near term before it makes midsesaon skedding decisions. It has another frosh comedy, “Friend Me,” waiting in the wings, and it has the enduring “Rules of Engagement” also on the bench.

“Partners,” a buddy romance starring David Krumholtz, Brandon Routh, Michael Urie and Sophia Bush, was created and exec produced by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick.
