Kid cabler also renews 'Regular Show,' 'Gumball'

Cartoon Network handed out renewals to its top programs on Thursday, including an additional episode pickup for “Annoying Orange.”

“Orange” originated as a viral YouTube sensation by creator Dane Boedigheimer and transitioned over to the kid cabler in June, bringing along its loyal Internet fanbase. Since its debut, “Orange” has been tops in key boys demos on Mondays, helping maintain Cartoon Network’s reign as the No. 1 network among boys 6-11.

“Orange” is produced by the Collective and exec produced by Conrad Vernon, Gary Binkow and Dan Weinstein. It airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m.

Regular Show” has been given a fifth season after performing strongly with tyke demos in its fourth season. “Regular Show” airs at 8 p.m. Mondays and was created by JG Quintel.

Finally, “The Amazing World of Gumball” has been picked up for a third season. From Ben Bocquelet, “Gumball” is the top program on Tuesday nights from 7-9 p.m. with kids and boys 2-11. It airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
