CW moves '90210' to 9 p.m.
The CW has scheduled the series premiere of midseason entry “The Carrie Diaries” for Jan. 14, the network announced Thursday.“Diaries,” which reimagines the protagonist of “Sex and the City” as a teenager during the 1980s, will take over the Monday 8 p.m. hour from “90210,” which will slide to 9 p.m. The CW has been saving primetime’s opening hour for its top series, including “The Vampire Diaries” and “Arrow,” which have had better luck than its entries in the more competitive 9 p.m. slot. “Diaries” is from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with Fake Empire. Executive producers are Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Len Goldstein, Amy B. Harris and Candace Bushnell.
