Bravo has greenlit a second season of “Kathy,” the weekly talkshow from comedian Kathy Griffin.
Premise of the gabfest is to discuss the week’s pop culture events with both civilians and celebrities. Season one guests included Sharon Osbourne and Whitney Cummings.
“The first season of ‘Kathy’ struck a chord with our viewers with its fresh new approach to not-letting-anyone-get-away with-anything TV,” said network president Frances Berwick.
Griffin’s hourlong special “Kathy Griffin: Seaman 1st Class” debuts Thursday on the NBCUniversal cabler, a net that has aired many of her specials over the last few years.
“Kathy” is produced by Donut Run and Embassy Row and exec produced by Griffin and Michael Davies.
