BBC America has promoted Erin Jontow to scripted programming veep.
Jontow, most recently senior director of scripted development and programming, developed the cabler’s first original skein, “Copper,” which became the channel’s highest-rated series premiere. She will oversee development and production of scripted originals, including the second season of “Copper” and upcoming “Orphan Black,” while also seeking scripted co-productions and acquisitions.
