Skein focuses on relationship with FBI agent

LONDON — “Hannibal,” a TV take on the Hannibal Lecter story produced by Sony Pictures Television Networks and Gaumont Intl. Television, will air on SPTN’s AXN pay web in 63 countries, in 18 languages.

The story focuses on Hannibal’s early relationship with FBI agent Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy (star of “The Big C”). Casting is underway for the lead.

Bryan Fuller (“Heroes”) is exec producing, with David Slade (“Twilight Eclipse”) helming. Production is due to bow late July.

NBC acquired “Hannibal” earlier this year and is due to bow it midseason.
