Exec will keep comedy duties

Twentieth Century Fox TV has consolidated oversight of comedy and animation under Jonathan Davis, the studio announced Thursday.

Davis, who previously managed comedy development, will now become exec VP of comedy development and animation. Jennifer Howell, senior VP of animation, will now report to Davis, who reports to 20th chairs Dana Walden and Gary Newman.

“Jonnie is a tremendously skilled executive, and we wanted to utilize his talents to enhance our animation efforts in addition to our comedy development,” said Walden and Newman in a joint statement.

Davis has been at the studio since 2008 and counts “Modern Family” and “New Girl” among his development credits.
