Studio and production equipment supplier Quixote Studios has tapped Stuart Halperin VP of marketing.
Halperin will oversee all marketing initiatives with an emphasis on digital strategy for each brand under the Quixote umbrella, including Smashbox Studios.
“We are thrilled that Stuart has joined the Quixote team,” said Quixote CEO Mikel Elliott. “He brings a torrent of opportunity and value, and strongly complements the array of talented executives in the Quixote-Smashbox family.”
Halperin co-founded Hollywood.com (formerly Hollywood Online) and previously served as head of marketing for MovieTickets.com and entertainment download service ClickStar. Earlier in his career, Halperin worked in marketing roles for Universal Pictures and New Line Cinema and was a newswriter for CNN.
Founded in 1995, Quixote Studios manages boutique film studios, production-related vehicles, grip and lighting equipment and production supplies. It also is a managing partner of Los Angeles’ photo studio brand Smashbox Studios.
Halperin’s hire comes as the company is expanding its presence in New York, Boston and New Orleans.
