Personal manager Sandy Littman dies

Repped Anthony Hopkins, among others

Personal manager Sandy Littman, who represented Anthony Hopkins, among other notable artists, during his long career, died in Los Angeles on July 5 after a long battle with diabetes. He was 70.

In addition to Hopkins, Littman represented TV stars Kate Jackson, Anthony Hamilton, Dirk Benedict, Ben Murphy and Heather Thomas, television broadcaster Steve Kmetko, as well as Italian film actress Valeria Golino.

Littman began his entertainment industry career in New York, working on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” which led to a job at the William Morris Agency booking the agency’s talent on the Sullivan show, as well as on other variety television showcases.

Littman relocated to the William Morris office in Beverly Hills in the mid 1970s. Several years later, he formed Michelson Littman Management with former William Morris agent Marty Michelson. He then went out on his own, establishing his own boutique management outfit.

Survivors include two cousins, a niece and a nephew.
